For a small site (1.2 acres) with 23 units and over 5 feet of grade change, the typical approach would have been to place stormwater underground as quickly as possible. However, for this project the design team was able to create a vegetated bioswale which both slows down and treats stormwater runoff on site. By incorporating Low Impact Development (LID) into the common green space, a strong sense of identity is created around the ethos of living at Urban at Olive.
