It’s Harvest. Conceived through a multidisciplinary workshop rooted in a shared vision, Harvest honors the land’s agrarian heritage — a centrally located 5-acre farm yields ample produce for the weekly farmers’ market, and community garden plots let residents exercise their green thumbs — combined with progressive planning and design principles. The community framework prioritizes the pedestrian and features a prominent north/south greenway spine connecting community destinations. Roads terminate on this central greenway and pocket parks are central to each distinct neighborhood. Harvest was one of 13 landscape projects selected for the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s 2017 Case Study Investigation (CSI) program, which documents the benefits of exemplary landscape projects.
