The second street transformation realized from the STMC Enliven Master Plan effort, the Floyd Curl Complete Street enhances the public realm of the Medical Center through shaded and generously proportioned sidewalks, a continuous two-way separated bike lane, planted medians, and careful integration of both vehicular and pedestrian signage into a cohesive district identity. The infrastructure improvements better accommodate the needs of medical center staff and visitors, as well as nurses and doctors — many of whom live within two miles of the campus — to conveniently walk or bike to work in a safer, more engaging pedestrian- and cyclist-oriented environment.
