Shiyao Liu

Shiyao is a landscape designer who focuses on production and coordination while serving as a mentor to the studio’s interns. She envisions landscapes as regenerative spaces that enrich the land and strengthen community well-being, respecting natural processes like hydrology and soil ecology in every intervention. Shiyao is particularly interested in the intersection of construction and technology, leveraging advanced tools like Revit, Rhino, and Grasshopper to deepen site understanding. She even customized a Grasshopper component to streamline 3D topography generation, allowing her teams to quickly visualize and iterate terrain forms during early site analysis.
