Jake Burgus

As Planning Lead for the Houston Region, Jake brings a thoughtful, design-driven approach to projects at a wide range of scales—from community and mixed-use developments to streetscapes and open space environments. He manages projects through all phases of the development process, including land use analysis, feasibility studies, site context and analysis, master planning, hand rendering, and computer drafting. Jake thrives on balancing end-user needs, community aspirations, and developer objectives while responding to the unique opportunities of each site. He also enjoys the challenge of design competitions and has been part of teams that placed first and second in recent Rice Design Alliance Design Charrette competitions.
